I had an Indian coworker, who seemed quite fine. He prepared a project I took over after a while, and turned it from something minor to a huge project involving multiple people. The coding style and file structuring were absolute garbage. I think I had to rewrite everything there was, and some logic was abysmal.

He was multiple years longer in the company than I was, but boy, that was the first time I started to question his competence.
