Cause it's stupid? And we've all sat down and thought about it for an hour or two, so we know it's stupid? And the people pushing it have not only failed to do this but they also always try to act as though they possess some kind of gnostic wisdom that we're not enlightened enough to comprehend?
The fact that I would have to ask you *which* equally ridiculous version of FE you beleive in (disc, secret land behind ice wall, Donut Earth) while everyone understands the exact same globe, should give you a hint.
