Not only is that a terrible argument contradicting "do your own research", but it's also not "the government" telling us to blindly trust certain aspects of how the world works. Most of this knowledge has been around and proven mathematically since long before USA was created.

Note that the Flat Earthers are exactly the same as normies except, instead of believing everything they're told by the government, they *disbelieve* everything they're told, even when it's clearly true.

This is a popularly taught erroneous view. You don’t prove things mathematically (except IN mathematics!) in reality, you **describe** them using mathematics.

You don’t think that the stars in the sky are really spherical balls of gas because of any mathematical proof. The contrived “proofs”, when they exist, come long after and are backfilled.
