Emojis are basically images replacing unicode symbols as far as I understand it. Same thing happens with U+1F921 which of course is the 🤡 emoji. All emojis have a corresponding basic unicode symbol, and not all systems seems to have all emojis.

I haven't seen an emoji for the swastika tho: 卐 (U+5350 for those who doesn't have a dedicated key).

It actually started with therightstuff.biz putting an echo-effect on jewish names during their podcast, the parentheses being a visual equivalent.
They also published a browser-extension called the "coincidence detector" that automatically attaches the (((echoes))).

When the echo started appearing more frequently on twitter, jews started using it themselves "in defiance", just like niggers "taking back the word". That's how you got to see things like (((SPLC))) on their official accounts.
