Fuck dude I'd love it if I could get my wife to go hiking with me. She'll bend over backwards for my sake in most other things but it's basically impossible to get her to go outdoors with me.

It’s sad man, and I’m not sure where you live, but there are so many nice places to explore in this country. It’s hard to even get people to give it a chance. I really think many would fall in love with it.

I've spent my whole life in Arizona and the PNW also known as the two most fucking beautiful regions on planet Earth, and yet people always second guess me when I tell them I found an area worth exploring on foot. I can't wait for my kid to be old enough to keep up with me so I can finally have a reliable hiking buddy.
