Wiemar Germany had similar problems, national socialists as well as social democrats solved this by opening up "the peoples house". Basically, the party would own properties allover the country which could be used by the people for this exact sort of things.

Doesn't have to be anything big or fancy as long as there's enough space and seats for everyone, heck even a church or the parish home that comes with every church would be perfect for this purpose.

They already exist. They're called recreation centers and they're all over the place. Or public libraries. Most government buildings are 90% unused, 60% of the time. Waste of space and resources.
