A good way to side step the nerd faggot mob would probably be to make a story with no humans in it all.

But the issue with that would be the simple fact that humans want a connection to a story in order to get invested in it.

If someone wrote a story about bug people who have no emotion whatsoever and they never stray from their holes in the dirt, who would care a damn about such a story?
