A good way to side step the nerd faggot mob would probably be to make a story with no humans in it all.
But the issue with that would be the simple fact that humans want a connection to a story in order to get invested in it.
If someone wrote a story about bug people who have no emotion whatsoever and they never stray from their holes in the dirt, who would care a damn about such a story?

Inclusivity by its nature implies that you are putting something where it wouldn't naturally be. I don't want that, I want it to be reasonable. Are there elves here? Cool, make it make sense. Are there goblins in this setting taxing the elves and giving free stuff to the orcs? Fine, make it make sense in the setting.
