I know *why*, but I currently don't have the sources and citations to prove my claims. Going to try to find those sources again and break it down.
 
But essentially: At some point in history, I believe the jews were allowed into Japan and may have interbred with and/or raped some of them. That's why you might see jewish features in *some* of them, because not all of the Japanese have those jew-like features in their face. Like most Asians, they would have had flat, fat/wide noses.

Actually, yeah. That's part of what I was going to go into.
 
A long while back, I found a blog page that talked about the "mountain jews" in Japan that the tengu are based off of along with what they did to the Japanese and how they interacted with them. It had sources and citations on it and all that.
 
Really sucks that I can't seem to find it again because I can't remember the exact terms I used to find it and so far my search has been fruitless. I am certain the page isn't shoah'd, though.
