It has never been dead. Communism is the end goal of socialism. Don't fight the latter, and you'll wither under the former.

EU is liberal, not socialist.

Socialism, as I understand the definition, is when workers do a revolution to replace the current government with a new government that is supposed to enforce things like land distribution and/or worker owned workplaces.
