Fish and chips requires a lot of oil for deep frying. And I know that seed oils are bad, but they are cheap, . I can't use olive oil cause its too expensive. So im curious as to what oils you guys use to cook Fish and Chips.

Gutter oil isn't much worse than regular seed oil. Though, to the Chinese governments credit, they dole out severe punishments for gutter oil.
Gutter oil (of course not the kind in sewer grates, yellow grease which is reused cooking oil) is consumed in the United states. The practices of many restaurants would shake you to your bones. And it's not punished anywhere near as heavily as China.
China only pretends to care, slop restaurants reuse oil as long as they possibly can. If anything, it's likely easier to reuse oil here in the west as it's segregated from other trash due to recycling requirements and to avoid clogging the sewage systems.
That's why I don't eat anything fried, not in the US and not in Chyna.
I think the communist party would give a shit, because they do care in general about things that make China look bad. Enforcing it is another issue entirely. It would be hard to prove anything without catching someone in the act.
The food industry in the west reuses oil all the time. When they finally clean the inside of a fryer it can make you nauseous from the smell alone (been there done that). It's disgusting.
