No, the constitution is NOT the supreme law of the land.
It works like this:
* THE PEOPLE, as expressed by the militia.
* REPRESENTATIVES elected by the people to the national congress / parliament (NOT the US congress -- think continental congress, think parliament during the English civil war)
* The Constitution of the US
* The constitutions of the states
People forget that when Americans take up arms and organize into militias, THAT is the supreme law of the land. Nothing can trump that, nothing can appeal that. And should those people elect representatives to a national parliament -- that parliament would trump the constitution.
The very opening statement of the US constitution makes this clear: "WE THE PEOPLE ... DO ORDAIN AND ESTABLISH THIS CONSTITUTION"
Now, and this is important: The people should bow their heads to God alone. Everything else should be subject to God accordingly.
