It's possible that the way I'm accessing the site from my mobile browser is causing the issue. Because I think that was mentioned in the discussion you are referencing. I don't think everyone is seeing that same community header that I am.

I use a narrow window to protect actual screen resolution. But I can confirm that this big green neon sign is pretty big and looks kind of bad even up to a width of ~1200px. This picture needs about 1920 to fit the entire thing property. Anything wider makes it zoom in. at ~7000px width it looks just as terrible as it does on a phone screen, but also blurry.
