What's the lifespan of an EV battery? Go ahead and include that as a long-term cost, and then compare it to combustion engine repairs over the same time frame. I think either you're being disingenuous or you're just unaware of the long-term cost comparison. As a 30-year-old, I've owned 2 cars over the past 14 years and paid thousands in repair bills and some ungodly amount for gas to keep them operational. When I compare this to upkeep costs of an EV over the same time frame, it makes me wish there was a cheaper EV on the market.

I’ve owned more cars than I can remember. Buy a toyota camry and you can literally not change the oil once (not recommended) and it’ll still outlast any junk EV car you throw at it.

You think wrong. And you’re ignorant. It’s not my job to educate you. Do some research into the issues EVs face, it’s more than just “not enough charging stations”.
Theres a reason why most companies are regretting ever building these junk cars that nobody wants to buy.
> and some ungodly amount for gas to keep them operational.
You must think electricity is free lmao.
> When I compare this to upkeep costs of an EV over the same time frame
You are the type of person to think a balloon loan is a good idea. Because thats what an EV is in terms of maintenance.
I don't think electricity is free, but I know that the efficiency of converting fuel into energy in a power plant is orders of magnitude higher than converting fuel into energy in a car engine.
Yeah until you need to replace the battery and its a $15k repair bill at the minimum.
> The only argument against EVs is that they're not widespread enough yet to be able to effortlessly find a fueling location
Thats the “only” argument? I see why you don’t understand the hate for EVs.
