If you're a latter-day saint reading this, pay attention.
We are often told by people who are NOT our leaders that the jews will rebuild the temple in Jerusalem. That is categorically false. Read our scriptures closely. Who are the sons of Levi? How do they offer an offering in righteousness if sacrifice has been done away? YOU KNOW THE ANSWER TO THIS QUESTION.
For those not of our faith, let me spell it out for you.
There is only one church who has authority from God to build temples in these latter days. We are building hundreds across the world as we speak. Each of them dedicated to the Lord and consecrated for one purpose alone. You don't have to look very far to find out where these temples are, what they look like, or how we worship in them.
At some point, God will move upon us to build his temple at Jerusalem. The jews who reject Christ will have NOTHING to do with it.
We are going to restore the ancient temple practices that they tried to remove from the Old Testament starting around 600 BC. We are going to restore Christ worship as it was established by Moses and subsequent righteous prophets.
At some point, the jews may repent, but it will take the nations rising up against them and Jesus Christ rescuing them for them to finally accept him as their savior. This will likely be one of the last events before his full coming when he rules and reigns on Earth (again).
As is usual for Mormons, you think that if you say a bunch of stuff that is already established and then tack on your weird shit at the end, people won't notice.
Why did Jospeh Smith's miraculous translation of the Golden Plates have grammatical errors in it?
The same reason the Bible has errors in it: It was written by men, imperfect men, who were inspired by God.
At least the Book of Mormon is honest in that the authors admit that they probably made mistakes. You protestants believe there are no errors in the Bible, even though there are clearly a lot of errors in the Bible.
As far as what we do: We read the Bible. We pray to God. God speaks to us. So we listen.
You ignore that part of the Bible where God expects people to listen to him and instead pretend like the Bible is God.
Joseph Smith was one man. He translated the text from the Golden Plates directly to his book. He spent a few months. He wrote it in English, once, and never copied or retranslated it, other than making slight revisions.
I'm not a protestant. The Bible has contradictions and mistakes in it, because, unlike Joe's story, it was written by many men, who put oral tradition or anecdotes into words, over the course of hundreds of years, in several different languages, and it was then translated, retranslated, and copied, by translators and scribes, over hundreds more years. Mistakes happened, and that is entirely understandable.
Your comparison to the Bible is apples to orangutans and thus I laugh at you.

Space Jesus fanfictionists are in my experience good people. But by being polytheistic (even if we disregard everything else that's wrong) you are not Christians.
No Christian was monotheistic, at least not until you protestants decided to rewrite history. How did that work out for you, by the way
Jesus talked about his God and his Father. Paul mentions how Satan is the god of this world. Jesus has a battle while fasting in the wilderness with a god who claims he rules the world. In fact, the etymology of the word "demon", the things that Jesus would regularly cast out of people, are literally gods. Jesus wasn't casting out random spirits from the afflicted, but other gods!
Jesus himself quotes Psalms to the pharisees: "YE ARE GODS!"
Even a cursory examination of the Bible reveals that it is not monotheist. It's a ridiculous claim with no substance. The few verses that seem to suggest it are easily shown to mean the complete opposite.
Your protestant mind can't comprehend these things because you rejected logic and reason when you rejected all of the claims of every Christian that came before you. Not only do you not have the right to define what a Christian is, but if being a Christian necessitates associating with your false religion based on vain imaginations and deceptions, I want no part of it, for you are apostate.
You have rejected the central claim of the Bible which is that God speaks through prophets and calls on people to accept him, not the text, as the ultimate source of truth.
Do you worship the living God or do you worship the Bible?
Do you believe that God has since stopped speaking or does he speak today?
