I always thought my dad was some kind of luddite because his preferred method of welding was 6011 with a Lincoln Idealarc.

Yes, TIG and MIG have their places (I tigged some stainless for my dad's fireplace last year), but if you're dealing with less than ideal conditions and want shit made of iron to hold, nothing beats stick welding with 6011.

What gauge thickness steel was used for the killdozer? Has any testing been done on what gauge repels most caliber bullets?
