The (((Masoretic Text))) has been significantly altered by jews to remove references to Christ in the Old Testament, and unfortunately Judaizers like Martin Luther fell for it hook, line and sinker which is what made their movements so easy to subvert. There was a notable outbreak in heresy and confusion in the Catholic Church when the Official Vulgate was sidelined and boomers and goyest generation began taking the (((Masoretic text))) seriously.

That too, and the removal of Maccabees also removes the part where the Edomites (who by Jesus' time had begun to replace the real Jews and likely contribute to the only Hebrew DNA modern jews have) are force "converted" and the Spartans are stated to be Hebrews.

DRB is based on Vulgate which in turn is based on the Septuagint as well as an unjewed form of the Hebrew text that predates Talmudic meddling. Its incredibly based and is also perfect for KJV fans as it uses similarly flowery language.
