I think if true ownership was the goal there should be some guard rails; can't be a corporation, can't be more than homes than people in your family.
I also think it should only apply as a tax forgiveness when you are paid off with no loans on your home. This would encourage communities and fiscal responsibilities
But I am sure there are problems with my plan too
