I have a lot of spare time and sometimes I pick up garbage in my neighbourhood.
I frequently get foreigners asking what I'm doing, who are completely flabnerghasted that I don't want to live in a garbage dump and will actually do something about it.

In Spring I would take walks with a bag and work gloves to clean the trash.

We've also got a new halfway hkuse for druggies who, I'm sad to say, are mostly White.
I've resigned myself to the fact that it will never end so long as I'm surrounded by people that don't give a shit, but I'll keep doing it for my family (and anyone else who cares; there are a few) until I'm able to leave.
And God help anyone I catch in the act.

Imagine adopting a child into your house, specifically one coming from an abusive homelife, and letting them set the terms to the point that you emulate them.
