I would argue that, before about 1990, we did a pretty good job shaming other cultures into assimilating (other than niggers and abbos, but they're special cases). We allowed the absolute top 0.1% and put up with a minimum of their shit to skim the best talent of the world (although, obviously, most was White). We still needed PSAs to tell people not to call them slurs and allow them to patronize businesses and it went without saying that White culture was superior.

It wasn't until the 90s that this "diversity is our strength" crap started gaining strength and actually started putting foreign culture ahead of our own.
