Hitler explained this well in that book he wrote.
He refers to communism as *russian* communism, or Bolshevism.
He adopts the idea of using a command economy, but does not use the state to own all property. Instead, his economy is still dictated via the union and the union threatens business owners to compliance. Business owners he didn't approve of (mostly the jewish ones) did indeed have their property seized and distributed to others.

Notably, this method is, like most socialisms, not good at generating wealth. Hitler ran out of wealth to plunder after he had seized most of the jewish property and when threatened with a loss of capital, adopted a plan to invade Poland with Russia so that he could maintain the German status quo. We all know how that ended up in the end.

Russian Communists, when allied with the Allied forces, took credit for having defeated the National Socialists (despite sending in pitchfork-wielding soldiers and suffering the greatest losses in the war) and used this victory to claim that somehow Russian Socialism was superior. (Bolshevism literally inspired National Socialism because of how destructive it was to its own economy in 1917 when Lenin started it.)
