The dirty little secret about life expectancy is that, regardless of what age of history you were born in, if you survived past age 10, youll probably make it to 80. Ironically, the reverse is true in modernity, because we have people who would have naturally died in infancy or early childhood kept "healthy" artificially who probably wont make it to 30 or 60.

Measles is among the many diseases, like polio and chicken pox, that aren't particularily dangerous to kids and only really harm adults that were never exposed.
