They think that everyone before them was just dumb.

They put modern sensibilities first, and then in hubris try to conform Christianity to those values.

They cherry pick verses and distort their meaning to support current year thinking. Jesus said "love your neighbor" and "go out unto all the world" so that means import the entire world. Jesus said to share the good word with "all nations" so that means there shouldn't be nations and we should race mix into one single mud nation.

I personally know a couple of priests who say these things in private but would never explicitly preach it from the pulpit. There aren’t a lot of them, but just because they aren’t preaching about it doesn’t mean they don’t believe it.
