as for the recipe, you can al ways use heavy cream but it works either way, if you don't have cream, just add some chunks of butter
ice-cream is just frozen fat, sugar and fruit so it really doesn't matter what kind of ingredients you use, i just use the best ingredients nutrient-wise (high fat, high protein)
Put cream sugar and vanilla inside a Ziploc bag. Then Put it inside a larger ziplock bag full of ice. Add half cup of salt to the ice. Ziplock the big bag with ice salt and smaller ziplock. Shake. The ice reacts with salt and gets even colder. The cream freezes.
