Might not be the best place to ask this, but I'd like to get the opinions of the board because I think the posters here might be in more traditional relationships like myself.

So, yeah. Why so many pictures? You just lived it! You walked through the reality! You experienced it!

*"Wait, wait, wait. Lets stage a photo around something we're about to do or have already done!"*

Me? I just did that! I don't want to go backwards and fake out a rehash of what just transpired.

I get memorabilia and nostalging out. But with phone cameras, EVERYTHING gets a picture. It's not just a few of your wife, you and friends kayaking. There's 10 shots of a single squirrel, 20 of them doing dumb shit and acting goofy and 30 of them pointing at objects and signs with their mouths agape.

What is the fascination with women and taking pictures? I genuinely want to know.

I think that sort of behavior isn't a 'woman thing', it's a 'modern western narcissist' thing. I see it among too many males.

My understanding of the purpose is that they need the photos as props. To present to others as proof that they did something (because they and their friends all lie about everything), and to observe themselves as proof that they are whatever it is they claim to be (popular? prosperous? rebellious?).
