This is true. Just like how not every english colonist came during Jamestown.
There were Spaniards that came with Columbus, there were Spaniards that came during the 1500s, Spaniards that came in the 1600s, 1700s, 1800s, and even a few that came after spain lost everything in South America.
I do not buy that jews ever made up a majority or even a large minority of conquistadors or colonists. Mostly because jews cannot labor or fight for anything at all, except israel which was guaranteed to them and built on the back of British labor. Most of the jews after 1492 probably fled to other European countries (namely France, HRE, Italy, and England), the muslim world, and or became slave drivers
