You donate your organs while the hospital sells them for enormous profit. Your family doesn't get a single dollar, while the hospital sells it to the highest bidder.

My late uncle was enormously wealthy and drank like a fish. He needed a new liver, and he skipped the entire line of children and young adults who actually needed organs for things out of their control. Why? Because he paid more.

Yep. As soon as death occurs organs start to degrade and become non-viable for transplant. If the brain dies the other organs cease to function, actual full death occurs and organs are non-viable ergo everyone who has their organs harvested was alive until the doctors killed them, as you said.

Came here to say this. They administer a paralyzing agent (but not anesthesia which can damage the organs) and then dismantle a person piece by piece.
