Talking to a friend. Some people from the Congo moved in down the street awhile back. Overall friendly people. No real complaints other than the fact they shouldnt be here.

But they are so fucking stupid. They drive slowly but their ability to drive well is horrendous.

Talking to a friend about the average IQ being less than 70 for their country. He said “well IQ tests are designed for Western intelligence not other cultures.”

I replied with “why are they in our culture then? This doesnt seem like a strength for us.”

Lightbulb started to turn on.

Yes, but it's a deviation from the norm. Our genetics not only depend on our parents, but also all ancestors before them. So there is some randomization factor because some amount of your ancestors probably had genes which made them more intelligent. And given that the ancestry of 2 people is combined (the man and the woman), and that often people do not even know their ancestry, and it's almost impossible to know if and how many of them were intelligent, it's getting quite unpredictable ("random").

But the genes of parents themselves have the highest impact, so there is a higher chance to inherit their genes.
