I live in the midwest and my father drives a truck for a farming family during harvests. They have 6-8 weeks of hard work during the fall harvests and plantings *alone*. Sure the brunt of the work is during the fall, but there's a couple other harvests during the rest of the year, as well as plantings. There's also sprayings and fertilizings year round as well. Juggling it all is not an easy job. Yes I will concede that raising livestock and/or dairy might be a harder job because I know people who do that too, but that wasn't really apart of the question.
