Oh the stories we could share. My dad is a boomer but a relatively poor one and the amount he sacrifices to be with his grandkids. While my wifes parents are fairly well off but they nickel and dime everything. Its nuts

Many such cases of this not happening as well.

A lot of this hate boomers and hate liberal White women stuff comes across as very subversive.

I agree, people of all ages becomes victims of (((consoomerism))), were materialistic things, including subscriptions were all the wealth is essentially pissed away.

All we can do is to spread the anti-consoomerist message to save our own frens and relatives. Build generational wealth and preach about the importance of that.

(((Consoomerism))) on (((credit))) is a straight path to the poor house and eternal slavery.

My parents are Gen X but this literally describes them perfectly. In the last two years alone, they must have gone on 4+ cruises. They JUST went on one back in September and IMMEDIATELY booked another one after they got back. Meanwhile, I have a measly $1400 in my bank account while still paying for the last few months of college AND I just got laid off from my part time job. How they can justify constantly going on cruises but not just paying for my college in full without splitting the cost in half with me is beyond my capability to understand.

If they are Gen X, you should tell them that they're pulling a perfect interpretation of the parents from Home Alone. Everyone in that generation saw that movie at least once. The parents effectively forget about one of their kids while they go on vacation. Seems to fit your situation.
