That particular ethnic group is not known for their battle prowess. Even biblically, every victory required direct miraculous intervention from God. Today it requires direct financial and military aid from America. If America were to give armor and weapons to Hezbollah....

The actual Jews of antiquity were a lot different than the ones of today, who are more likely the descendants of the Canaanites and Edomites rather than actual Judeans. Theres a good reason why King Herod was eager to kill a bunch of Judean children, because his line were quite literally Edomite imposters, so he had no ties to the people he was killing.
