They're pretty easy to pirate, all all online features goes via steam API, the crackers just replace those libraries with code that doesn't call back to steam. You'll get a locally running game, including proton and all of steams advantages without any of the drawbacks.

Just remember to backup your save files as you will no longer have access to steam cloud.

I have no problem with cosmetics. Only beta faggots pay for skins but game has to be making money somehow.

The moment there is any element of pay to win, i am out. And now more and more games are pay to win to the point it is almost normalized to spend real dollars to win.

To my understanding SEA is worse than this, for them it's almost abnormal NOT to have to pay for power.

Every day i wake up and wonder what's in the mind of a loser that spends cash to win. It's not like the win is deserved or he's good at something, he just paid more. In a video game. Even if it's someone filthy rich, it's like taking a machine gun to a boxing match and then celebrating you won.

What's even worse is that they're not even needed for Linux gaming. Big game companies port the Xbox version to Windows and that's all PC players get.

But Playstation which is bigger than Xbox runs on FreeBSD with OpenGL which has pretty good compatibility with Linux. Any Playstation game could be ported and run natively on Linux, probably even better than it'll ever run on Windows with all the spyware, bugs and other fuckery.

Gaming on Linux would be a lot better with open source solutions, and games running natively instead of via compatibility libraries for pajeetsoft Windows.
