Nigger was descriptive. But niggers were so reprehensible that people were spitting the word out. So they used negro to try and be nice. That also was descriptive but now it's considered offensive too. So they used black. Now that is offensive. African American had some time too. POC is merely the next stage in the euphemism treadmill.

Niggers are so awful any word to describe them becomes a slur.

I hate (((them))) even more now, rewriting the langues just complicates things. I learned the word nigger as a child, was in a bigger town and saw a crowd of people so I went there and tried to look at something I never seen before, confused I asked an older man, what is that. And he said "that, is a nigger". I'm gonna continue to say nigger every time I see a nigger.

It's the same as "colored person." Arguably, whites came up with the term. White people realize they are paler than other people.

Where I live nobody uses that term, we just say negro.
