The Father and Son being One does not negate the concept of a Trinity. In fact, the entire point of the trinity is that three distinct persons exist in a single Divine Nature.

Are you forgetting about all the ways Yahweh interacted with His people, the same people in the New and Old Testament, in the rest of Scripture? That should negate trinity right there.

He interacted via Angel, 99% if the time. Most of the time God is referred to as interacting with Men in the OT, its via angels.
