The jews aren't God's people - never were. There were people in Judea that were not of Judah, those are Edomites, the people we call jews today.

From Josephus book 13: "Hyrcanus took also Dora, and Marissa, cities of Idumea; and subdued all the Idumeans; and permitted them to stay in that countrey, if they would circumcise their genitals, and make use of the laws of the Jews. And they were so desirous of living in the countrey of their forefathers, that they submitted to the use of circumcision"

These guys just look at the oldest manuscripts we have, take historical writers into account, and it turns out Scripture is one consistent story about the same people - Whites. You might like "100 Proofs the Israelites were White"
