What do you guys think of it? I find it to be an extremely interesting perspective on the Faith, and his portrayals of Hell, Purgatory, and Heaven are very vivid and imaginative. I also find it funny that in the story, everyone that Dante historically didn't like was in Hell, and everyone he did like was either in Purgatory or Heaven.

Not a Christian but there's a deeper level to it. I'm going to butcher this a bit, been a while: It shows the hierarchy of being. For example he starts out with love of a physical female then moves on to love of poetry? Then love of God? Shows how one moves from earth to heaven. From the physical to symbolic to highest level on nonphysical. Look up Symbolic World - Divine Comedy on YouTube. He explains it much better
