I think the damage done to their reputation is substantial. A large number of americans know the MSM is simply fake. Trust in media and government is at all time lows.
It’s going to take a lot to bring public perception of these institutions to previous levels, like they were in the times of Vietnam and WW2.
Enlistment numbers are at record lows and continue trending downwards, which shows people simply don’t believe in serving anymore.
