I think the damage done to their reputation is substantial. A large number of americans know the MSM is simply fake. Trust in media and government is at all time lows.
It’s going to take a lot to bring public perception of these institutions to previous levels, like they were in the times of Vietnam and WW2.
Enlistment numbers are at record lows and continue trending downwards, which shows people simply don’t believe in serving anymore.
Those predditors was never a threat, because most of them was never even in Ukraine, they just went out to a local forest to take some pictures, some even used green screen and a fake background. The few who actually went left their phones on, making it super easy for Russia to find them. Germany have even better technology when it comes to tracking people.
