Keeping yourself and your wife pleased isn't a waste. But getting pent up for no reason kinda is. I'm all for single guys refraining from jerking it to increase their sex drive and find a mate mind you.

You can partake in the marital act without spending any seed, you can even reach climax. It's up to every man to decide how they want to do things, but I believe retention outside of procreation is true male sexual empowerment

I think a healthy sex life is a good way to keep your marriage in good shape. Everything in moderation, but, withholding to make yourself feel "empowered" sounds a lot like what feminists do.

"sexual empowerment" is definitely a tongue-in-cheek choice of phrase on my part, but I think you may be misunderstanding me. I'm talking about the highest ideal of male sexuality outside of procreation, which is sex with one's wife, to climax, without ejaculation. No withholding or abstinence involved

If that's your thing that's your thing man. I've got 4 kids as it is I don't feel any need to leave myself unstatisfied to keep the sperm bank topped off, which is what trying that did.
