No, because it would roll her back. That's probably the only thing she actually got from the safety training.

With a heavy lift like this she could hurt her back doing something like that, though it's always and option. She should really have asked for a spot before going ahead with a heavy lift like that where she's working to failure.

It's stupid to spot someone on a squat. If the lifter fails the spotter can't do shit, the weight is too heavy to hold in front of your body (unless you spot a little girl).

I don't know how that fucking weird bar works, but for a normal bar it's safe to drop the weight. That's what you're meant to do. She just should have squatted inside a squat rack, even better with safety bars.

It’s a suckers bar, if you are too pussy to have a bare bar on your shoulders and extend your arms more backwards to sides to grab it. Never understood that girdle bar, if the weight is too much, you squat some more with light weight until you are ready. If you want to try heavier, use Smith machine. This is like if you can’t swim you still go to the open water and use those kiddie arm floaties, technically it helps, but you are not learning anything and only endangering yourself

I'll just stick with my "16oz." curl routine.
