Ironically, "teenage angst" and "counterculture", in the current era, could lead to consoom product. Consider, all of mainstream tells you: "don't say nigger", and "take a knee for the rainbow flag", among other retardation, so to rebel from that would be to vector towards conservatism. If you continue your rightward trajectory after reaching conservatism, what do you see, but our ideologies?
