YouTube was like that before google bought it. They had soooo many based features, even the ability to chat with users.. so much content, and like 70% of that era is removed or shadowbanned hence imposible to find. I have 120 videos on YT and each has like 2-3 views, and they're on relevant and popular topics; it's as rigged as communism is.
And somebody at google was banned for fixing a bug, so they don't want good platforms just Commie garbage.
Interesting story about Notch, I had no idea. Really based then;. I'm happy to see that Minecraft is a popular game, too bad that this guy had to sell it, indeed he could have made it 1000 times better.
Terry Davis the guy who made TempleOS made it from scratch, one guy one OS. and he even made his own programming language, HolyC, that he used to make TempleOS. it's amazing. but he had schizophrenia and died early because of it. (probably suicided who knows). he invented the terms "glowing in the dark" and "glowiers".
I also played some games from Japan, Like Genji:dawn of the samurai and the famous Sekiro and Dark Souls, they're amazing games. so I agree it's mostly whites and Japanese who maintained this industry.

In hindsight I just wish that *someone else* offered to buy it, like valve, a company that actually really knows how to code and gives a fuck (at least for a majority of their games). But then again, valve doesn't have that money to swing around like MS does, but notch was so tired of minecraft that he probably would have sold it for a dollar
The really tragic part is that he said in 2011-2012 (dont remenber which) that he was going to make the game open source whenever he was done with it, and then go off to other projects. I wish that timeliness actually happened but the mounting pressure from the game that he could not predict made him sell.
