I'd recently come across an image of Jesus, which was rendered by AI (Midjourney) according to the imprint on the shroud of Turin, which supposedly covered Jesus after he was crucified. Here's a link about the info, which also contains the AI image:

In any case, I was wondering what y'all's thoughts were on it, and if anyone had any info on the authenticity of the shroud of Turin.

Known forgery. Basically the OG version of kooky rednecks seeing Jesus' face in a piece of toast.

What's the evidence for it being a forgery? u/SFAM1A posted a 4chan link that says the scientific studies which debunked it were analyzing a piece of cloth that was added by later curators (in the middle ages) to try to restore it. However, analysis of other parts of the shroud show a date of 30 AD.

I dunno if anyone around here is willing to give Adam Green the time of day, but there's a Know More News stream dedicated to the topic.
