Well, not all. I remember when the TRS-80 was on the market. So many people learned how to program BASIC at a reasonable cost.

I’d wager that the majority of the people on this sub are late genX and early millennial AKA Xillennials. I am.

Shitloads of us do. Are you under the impression most of our userbase are zoomers? That is not the case. Seems to me we actually have a pretty good cross section from each of the generations.

I do. In fact, my first job out of high school in 1990 was for Tandy Corp. Radio Shacks parent company.

Worse. Call center phone operator. All the Radio Shacks across the country would call us for parts for products. So if they needed a part for a TSR-80 or a wheel for a R.C car or shit like that, they would call us to order it.

I was 19 and the only guy in the call center full of women. It was not the "paradise" one might think.

Holy shit, I think I had that exact one. If not, it’s one very similar also from RS. It was passed down from my uncle. I’m old enough to remember when RadioShack was still a useful store before it turned into just another goyslop stop, and people actually fixed things and we did t live in a throw away culture. I also remember when they started pushing beepers and cell phones. That’s when I knew it was over.

Is it really the case that Jews had to outsource all our labor and manufacturing to chinkoman just to make planned obsolescence a thing? Or is it a natural side effect of corporate governance?

It is.a not necessarily a natural corporate governance thing. It's that throw away culture has become so common that companies have adapted.

I remember reading a while back about how "Americans" (whatever the fuck that term means anymore) prefer to buy a new shirt every year than to pay twice as much for a shirt that lasts three years. Buying the better shirt is better both for the wardrobe and the wallet, but the dopamine hit from "buying something" is worth more to "Americans" than actually wearing quality clothing.

This is just one example.
