Haha internal valve. Moves when you switch heat to cold or cold to heat. Until it doesn't. It's activated by a solenoid. In a pinch, you can buy one of those round magnets and move the internal valve with a strong magnet in place of the magnetism created by the solenoid.
HVAC isn't that complicated. You could learn it in one year and then be fetching $150+ per service call, 3-4 calls per day, and make more on installations. College is fucking stupid when there's easy money out there. Dumb faggots, dumb women, democrats, don't know shit about HVAC and will beg you to fix it for any price on a hot day
Don't use a heat pump if you can, they're just not worth it. If the ambient air temperature drops below like 50 they become *horribly* inefficient at generating heat compared to gas furnaces. Unless you live in a desert or some other place that's hot pretty much all year round and you never have a serious demand for heat.

I just got a cast iron wood stove for free. It was 500lbs and they said if I can move it I can have it. So I will build a cabin around this new stove to heat during winters. I'm looking for some mountain land to build a new castle
Yeah man, the old ones are *great*. They are extremely efficient at heat transfer too. I know a guy who heats a small-ish farmhouse with one of those for basically the entire winter.
