Women don't actually want you to read a book. They want you to give the image of intellect for her reputation, and have a hobby that you will interrupt at any moment when she wants your attention.

Playing a videogame with other people means she can't get you to stop your hobby 5 times in 2 hours because she wants attention.

Lol spoken like a married man. I can't argue that they don't act as a barrier to recreational reading, but I have met enough who are genuinely into some author/story/world.
