Guys who read actual books up their sexy factor because they are doing something old school that takes mental effort and that utilizes and feeds their brain. It shows that they are still willing to do something traditional that many people have abandoned. That appeals to me because I prefer guys who still find value in traditional things that most of society has abandoned. Which books they read could definitely have a factor in how I viewed them though. If they were reading The Communist Manifesto for enjoyment I might not find them so appealing.

It also allows you to appeal to them with a bit of borrowed or internalized personality from some of smoothest minds of all time, and to relate to them on an individual level as fans of some author or another. Imagine not having to do normal first date small talk because one of the million stories floating in your mind happens to be a direct key to her heart. Hopefully that key is not Harry Potter, though.

Yes. Common ground and a meeting of the minds is one of the most attractive things you can find. Men who read tend to be able to have intellectual conversations and even if you don't completely agree, finding a guy who you can have a little friendly debate with without anyone getting all bent out of shape is amazing. For me intellect, integrity, and determination are way more important than what a man has externally. I would like to think most other women agree but unfortunately I think a lot of modern women care most about a man's looks and career than anything else.

Women find men who read and write attractive because it correlates to being intelligent, and being intelligent correlates to being able to provide for offspring.

Same with the "unattractive."

1. Video games = loser
2. Collecting figurines = child
3. Magic Trick = socially awkward
4. Trolling = social outcast
5. Gambling = unstable

All of this translates in a woman's mind as less money and fewer resources.
