Looked at the article you linked to, and this passage is very interesting

which is of course complete baloney, since the Hebrews kept conclusive records (which unfortunately were destroyed when Jerusalem was burned) about who was related to whom, and they most certainly were not related to the Canaanites (outside of a few unfortunate instances of interbreeding).
