In point of fact, the practice of circumcision (which the jews got completely wrong ever from the beginning, according to the author of the Epistle of Barnabas) wrong as it may be then and still, wasn't at all the same practice prior to the destruction of the second temple as the practice we see widely in use today. That was another one of the critical things overhauled when judaism was mutated into the goyim-destruction machine we see today in response to the destruction of the temple and the Roman-jewish wars culminating in Hadrian.
