Especially when it's fancy sandwich bread. I bought a nice walnut and raisin sourdough loaf at the farmers market for $15.00. It was good, but I'm unlikely to buy that again.

Holy shit. Loafs of sourdough are $6 at mine. You're getting raped

So are you. Get a sourdough starter and bake your own for a tiny fraction of the cost.

time is money, $6 for a loaf is a fair price I am willing to pay.

The sourdough is shit. I can buy a $6.00 loaf but it's not good.

I'm reluctantly willing to pay more for food that was prepared locally and has no slop in it. (In some cases as a treat like yours sounds like)

I think the real value though is getting to know the sellers and possibly learning from them; maybe even volunteering time and effort to help out.

Buy a decent glyphosate free flour, and bake your own bread. It's really easy, and tons of how-to guides online. Also tastes better and way cheaper.

Very cool. I'll have to get a new oven, but it's a good investment because I like to bake fruit cakes during the winter. Pumpkin or zucchini bread in the fall is pretty alright as well.
